Summer in Tahoe is always a good idea to elope! It’s never too hot & the views are always stunning. This elopement day was filled with nothing but love + family. Starting at this cute quint hotel right in Incline Village that looked out over the lake just steps out the back door. Details of the dress were shot + hugs with some tears were shared.

The girls then packed up and headed towards the beach.

One unique touch added to this elopement day was time set aside for vow reading during their first look. We played their favorite song, I stepped back into the trees to give space for their love & they finished with a shot of their favorite tequila. Vow readings during the first look makes the moment more intimate, takes off the pressure for your ceremony & adds a personal touch to your photos. It was such a beautiful moment with photos they can look back and cherish for the rest of their lives.

The couple decided before heading down to the intimate spot by the water, they wanted a moment to themselves under the trees to read their vows privately. We played their favorite song and they finished with a shot of tequila to ease their nerves.

Sand Harbor is one of Tahoe’s top beach locations and we got really lucky that day with a minimal crowd. A quick tip – be sure to make reservations and secure your photography permit to avoid elopement day delays!

Once these two were ready we had the friends and family gather close on the beach. No chairs or flowers were necessary here, just the their presents was enough! The ceremony was simple and all these two needed to make it official. The entire family were ready to celebrate and finished the ceremony with a ski shot. Everyone headed off to the reception spot, while the couple and I took portraits over looking the beautiful Tahoe lake.
